English: River, Hackney Marshes. Looking upstream from 1370372. This tributary of the Teign looks tidal to me at this point, although maps show the normal tidal limit further downstream, and they must be right as sluices are marked there. The reedbeds and willows are full of bird life; this is an important site for Cetti's warbler and the cirl bunting http://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=2643&CFID=670220&CFTOKEN=47151793 . |
