Description
Deutsch: Wappen aus dem Ritterstandsdiplom von Franz Joseph I. (Kaiser von Österreich 1848-1916) für den Garde-Wachtmeister und Major Franz [Ritter von] Schmid. Ausgestellt Wien, 13. Juli 1892, mit eigenhändiger Unterschrift des Kaisers, Gegenzeichnung Ministerpräsident Eduard Graf Taaffe. Pergamentlibell (Format ca. 38 x 28 cm), 7 Seiten, Text in schwarzer Tinte, teils mit goldgehöhter Kalligraphie. Auf 4 Seiten gedruckte Bordüren, dazu farbige Wappendarstellung. Violetter Samteinband mit goldgeprägter Doppeladlerdarstellung, Innenbezüge aus bräunlicher Moiré-Seide. Anhängendes Siegel aus rotem Wachs in Messingkapsel (Durchmesser ca. 12 cm), durch goldgewirkte Seidenschnur an dem Diplom befestigt. Diplom und Siegel befinden sich in einer passenden Blechkassette (Format ca. 52 x 29,8 cm). Für die Aufbewahrung dieser Blechkassette existiert ferner ein Futteral (Format ca. 56,5 x 33 cm) aus rotem Stoff und Leder mit vergoldeter Inschrift auf dem Rücken.
