Description

Concrete buildings on Smallbrook Queensway. From the Bullring (Debenhams end) to the Beetham Tower.

On the left is the Ringway Centre.

A long office and retail building, lining Smallbrook Queensway. Hurst Street goes beneath it. Built between 1958 and 1962 to a designed by James A. Roberts. Six storeys tall.

Billboard for the 2010 Conservative Conference in Birmingham. A few days after it ended.

Taken from the bottom, on Edgbaston Street.

On the right is the Beetham Tower, Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Centre City and Norfolk House.

On the right is Norfolk House.

Built between 1958 and 1960 to a designed by Hurley Robinson & Son. It was designed to be a warehouse but became an office building upon completion. It is locally listed as a result of its unique design which includes green slate panels separating the windows and concrete framing. The canopy at street level is wavy with circular glass light holes. It is cantilevered over Dudley Street.
