Rings (Group 4)
Description
English: A small assemblage of 15 copper alloy rings all found together. Possibly medieval, c.AD 1200-1500. They can be divided into four rough groupings according to size and thickness.

Group 1. A single, large, thick ring, heavily worn at one end as though it had been suspended, ovoid in section. Diameter 30.4mm, Thickness 3.3mm, Weight 4.8g.

Group 2. A single large, thin ring, circular in section, with traces of file marks on the surface. Diameter 37.8, Thickness 2.5mm, Weight 3.8g.

Group 3. A group of seven rings of similar dimensions and shape. Small than the one in group 2. Five are intact, one squashed the other broken and misshaped. They vary is size from 26.3mm - 30.1mm, and in weight from 1.2g - 2.8g. All are approximately round in section.

Group 4. These eight rings, are all similar in shape and thickness. They also bear a strong resemblance to <a href="https://finds.org.uk/database/search/results/q/DENO_C654F2/thumbnail/1"> DENO-C654F2</a>. They vary in size 21.7mm - 27.8mm, and in weight 1.9g. - 5.5g. They have been flattened on the outer surfaces, and on the outer face have been filed to produce a rough hexagonal section.
