Title
Ring brooch
Description
English: Cast copper alloy ring brooch, probably dating to the late medieval to early post-medieval period. The brooch has a thin sexfoil frame with a slightly worn section between two of the lobes where there was probably a pin. The brooch is quite worn and has no visible decoration. The brooch weighs 2.6g and measures 31.4mm in diameter and 2.3mm in thickness. A similar example can be seen in Brian Reads ‘Metal Artefacts of Antiquity’ Vol. Page 110, Fig. 70, No.811.
