Description
Italiano: Rilievo con maschere teatrali, seconda metà del II secolo, inv. 1869
Deutsch: Doppelseitiges römisches Maskenrelief, angeblich aus Ostia, Inv. 1869. – Werner Fuchs (in Helbig 1963) datierte das Relief in spätflavisch-domitianische Zeit (also etwa 81–96 n. Chr.). Hans-Ulrich Cain schrieb das Relief dem gleichen Bildhauer zu wie ein in Pompeji gefundenes (und beim Vesuvausbruch im Jahr 79 verschüttetes). Aus dessen Fundort und dem Bildhauerstil leitete er ebenfalls eine Datierung in flavische Zeit ab (also etwa 69–96 n. Chr.).
