[edit]DescriptionRijksmonument - RuudMorijn - Slotje Limburg (Oosterhout, Noord-Brabant) (2).jpg |
Slotje Limburg (2), Oosterhout, Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands In Oosterhout staan verschillende slotjes. In the municipality Oosterhout are several ‘slotjes’ (small castles). Around 1300 several noble families settled in Oosterhout. They built for themselves a ‘slotje’. From this 'slotjes' there are now five, including four in the Ridderstraat. The majority is modernized in the nineteenth century more or less. ‘Slotje Huize Limburg’ was probably the beginning of the 15th century. The ‘slotje’ has lost much of its original character through renovations and upgrading. However, there are sufficient evidence of aristocratic origin: the canals, the size, the two corner towers and the remainder of third corner tower, its location and the vegetation around. The building was from 1938 to 1980 the property of the municipality Oosterhout, it functioned in those years as City Hall. Currently it is in use as office building. ''''
