English: Russian Latvia official stampless folded complete letter to Narva. 'Рига RIGA 1824 June 17' bi-lingual double circule cancel. Addressee Charles Sutthoff & Co., Lloyd's agent in Narva.

  • June 17 (Julian) 1824 letter posted at Riga. 'Рига RIGA 1824 June 17' postmark applied;
Black double ring postmark - Dobin: 40 type 4.01 (EKT). Applied by the office for accepting and dispatch of foreign correspondence. Dobin mentions this postmark was used between 1831-1842, Rarity 4, proof it was used 7 years earlier.[1]
