Strangely enough,arguments seemingly valid may be dis-covered on both sides of this question.Historically and ethnologically it wouldappear that the Black race is the old-est division of the human family. Informer parts of the present work wehave held to this contention, showingthat the native seat of the human racewas in that part of the world from whichthe Blacks have evidently proceeded.From that situation all the other racesare far off; that is, the Ruddy and theBrown races have seemingly made theirway to great distances from that centerout of which only the whole humanfamily could have arisen.
