FASHION FOR 1893. Fashion, like vice, is insidious in development. The most outrageous styleshave had an unpretentious beginning. The slight suggestion of crinoline inthe styles of 1893 are the counterpart of the primeval hoop-skirt, worn in theCourt of Francis I. From this funnel-shaped contour came variations of themost incredible size and design.
