English: Scene Caption: US Air Force (USAF) General (GEN) Richard B. Myers (center), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of STAFF (JCS), and General Lieutenant David Tevzadze, Republic of Georgia Minister of Defense, speak at a dedication ceremony. A memorial dedication ceremony held to honor all of the victims of the September 11th terrorist attack in New York and the Pentagon is conducted outside of the Advanced Operational Base for the Georgia Train and Equip Program in Krtsanisi, Georgia. General Myers is touring the Georgia Train and Equip Program (GTEP) complex and training grounds along with meeting top military officials and the Georgian President to discuss GTEP. GTEP is a flexible, time phased training initiative that builds upon a strong military-to-military relationship developed between the US and Georgia since the end of the Cold War, and further underscores US support for the Republic of Georgia's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. |
