Español: Descripción general de la biosíntesis canónica de RiPP. Un BGC representativo codifica los productos genéticos necesarios para la biosíntesis, exportación y regulación de un RiPP. El gen de la proteína precursora se transcribe y traduce mediante la maquinaria normal de biosíntesis de proteínas; normalmente comprende un extremo N-terminal y uno C-terminal. Algunos RiPP albergan péptidos líder y/o elementos de reconocimiento adicionales. La región central está sujeta a modificaciones post-traduccionales seguida de una escisión proteolítica para liberar el núcleo modificado. Algunos RiPP también maduran en reacciones de modificación en etapas últimas. |
