BOBBINK & ATKINS, RUTHERFORD, N. J. 33 Hardy Herbaceous Perennial Border Plants. We desire to draw attention to the fact that we actually possess, growing in our nurseries of 30 acres at Carlton Hill, N. J., strong plants of all the kinds enumerated in this catalogue. The list, as you may assume, is not an accumulation of names of plants which have to be purchased on the receipt of orders for them. Our catalogue is simply a stock list of the plants on hand, with prices and descrip- tions attached. Hardy perennials are recognized as being the most satisfactory of all plants for the garden because of their practically permanent character and naturalness of their beauty. It is certainly within the power of any person of ordinary means to make an attractive and useful garden with these old-time favorites, in addition to their being of immense value for cut=f!ower purposes. Our aim is to supply strong, healthy plants that will bloom the first year. "We have specialists in this department who take pleasure in observing botanical accuracy in nomenclature. In consequence you will receive each plant correctly named. THE WILD GARDEN. The term "Wild Garden " is applied to the placing of perfectly hardy plants in places where they will care for themselves. We have been called upon the past season to make many suggestions for this old style of garden which is fast becoming very popular, and not altogether on account of its usefulness for cut flowers, but more for the recollections of early days. Really this is the class of gardening which creates a love for plants and flowers so intense that it never vanishes. A home can be given these old-time friends in an unattractive nook where no other plant will flourish. We will be pleased at any time to answer correspondence or to make a selection or collection that will be best adapted to the need-j of any customer. We can make collections of 50 plants in 50 varieties, 15c. each; 100 plants in 50 varieties, 14c. each; 250 plants in 75 varieties, 13c. each; 500 plants in 100 varieties, 12c. each; 1,000 plants in 200 varieties, 10c. each.
