English: 150914-N-CQ687-001 NEWPORT, R.I. (Sept. 14, 2015) R.I. Gov. Gina Raimondo visited Naval Station (NAVSTA) Newport this morning for her first official visit to the installation since assuming her position last January. Her 90-minute visit was hosted by Capt. Dennis R. D. Boyer, commanding officer of Naval Station Newport, and included a special visit to the Surface Warfare Officers School Command, windshield tour of the installation including stops on Pier 2 and a quick lunch inside NAVSTA's award winning Ney Hall galley with some R.I. Sailors and a Marine.
