| Description |
English: Rheidol Falls Station, Vale of Rheidol Railway Looking towards Devil's Bridge. The halt was opened in 1904 as something of an afterthought, although it became so popular that a waiting shelter was built later. It would be a surprise to the current traveller that, given its remoteness, a halt was even considered here. However, it must be remembered that in the early days of the railway, up until the 1930's, this area of Cwm Rheidol abounded with mines and much traffic was generated from the mining community. |
