English: Webley Mk VI revolver; circa 1918 .455 inch calibre; 6 chamber; military break-open action model with Star patent ejector; pitted, distressed overall; action at fault; trigger transfer screw head broken off; trigger hammer spur shortened missing- screw on left hand side rear barrel ejector mechanism markings- on lower frame- WEBLEY - MARK VI - PATENTS 1918 military broad arrow marked Ordnance markings- (broad arrow) - (crown) - B; 18 - (crown) - GR on left rear of body above trigger- (broad arrows joined at centre) sold out of service mark (stamp) serial number on cylinder, forward underside of body, and rear underside of barrel- 299973 manufacturer Webley, c.1918.

Webley Mk 6 revolver; .455 inch calibre, c1918 Military issue service revolver, 1918 patent, and sold out of service. May have been used late WW1 or had use during WW2 ref- Military Small Arms- cartridge revolvers- p82-2- Webley and Scott Mk VI. Final and best known of Webley series of British service arms. Introduced in 1915 -widespread service in both wars; officially replaced in 1932 after the army switched to .38" handguns
