New York iSshown as a prostrate Knickerbocker with the Tammanytiger surmounting his prostrate form ; and Mr. Clevelandsreconciliation with the Tammany leaders is well repre-sented by Mr. (xillam, the cartoonist of Judge, in a draw-ing which is shown on this page. In another cartoon whichwe reproduce from Judge, Mr.Gillam represents CandidateCleveland as a political Columbus standing at the prow ofhis vessel and peering anxiously for land which he does-not yet discover. On the other hand, Puck representsMr. McKinley at the prow of a galley ship wherein a hostof laboring men toil at the oars, while the political leadersof the Republican party sit and drink their wine at theirease. The range of our foreign caricature selections thismonth is wide, and the subjects touched upon are numer-ous. For the most part the cartoons are self-explanatory.
