ng souls to Christ hasbeen phenomenal. For forty odd years he has been laboring faith-fully in the Lords vineyard, having been the pastor of thirteenchurches. He at one time was editor of the Baptist Herald. He or-ganized the first District Baptist Association in the WashingtonStreet Baptist Church, in Paducah, Ky. In September, 1867, he waselected moderator, and has been re-elected every year since. Heassisted in organizing the General Association of Colored Baptists,in Lexington, Ky., in August, 1869. In 1871 he was elected Modera-tor of this Association, at Danville, and retained the position until 81.He organized the first ministers and deacons meeting known in Ver-sailles, in 1861. He has been Grand Senior Warden of the GrandLodge of Masons in Kentucky, and was elected Grand Master of theState for two terms. The degree of D.D. was conferred upon him bythe State University of Louisville. When the Lord of the harvestcalls for the reapers, Dr. Dupee will carry with him many sheaves.
