| Description |
English: Explosive barrier from WW II/Cold War between St. Margrethen and Au. In this shelter (Cold War) the wires came together. From here, the blaster could trigger the detonations. The shaft will also be dismantled now. This was not just a few hundred kilos of explosives. Last year tons of explosives were removed in this area. In fall were removed 1.5 tons of explosives only in the pillar of the old railway bridge to Austria. It was also in such a pipe as buried here. It is easily conceivable that in each of the 11 tubes here were 0.5 tons of explosives along the street and the railroad line. But that's classified and photos were prohibited.
