Summary
[edit]DescriptionReturn to Nature - geograph.org.uk - 1347474.jpg |
English: Return to Nature The redundant lock seen here is just the eastern half of it. Fully silted up now and with its western end filled in completely, never will the large trawlers ever enter St. Andrew's Dock ever again - once the biggest fishing dock in the world. After the Cod Wars of the 70s, a rapid demise of the fishing industry in Hull was seen. A little further west of here, a shopping complex has been built on the now filled in dock. |
