Description
Français : Retournac, dép. de la Haute-Loire, France (Auvergne). Suc de Périllade (au second plan à gauche, alt. 719 m.) et suc de Chaumont (à l’arrière plan au centre droit, alt. 941m.), vus depuis le suc d’Artias (alt. 706m.), lequel porte les ruines du château d’Artias, dont on voit un pan de muraille à l’avant-plan. Plus loin, derrière le suc de Chaumont : le mont Miaune (alt. 1066 m., comm. de Roche-en-Régnier), et plus loin encore : la roche du Diable, avec ses carrières. Les sucs de Périllade et d'Artias sont alignés le long de la rive nord (c'est-à-dire gauche) de la Loire, qui, sur la photo, coule à gauche de ces deux sucs (non visible) ; la face rocheuse du suc de Périllade est orientée vers le sud (vers la gauche sur la photo). Coup d’œil vers l’ouest.
English: Retournac, department of Haute-Loire, France (Auvergne). The Suc de Périllade (middle left, 719 m) and the Suc de Chaumont (background center right, 941 m) seen from the Suc d'Artias (706 m) looking west over the ruins of the Château d’Artias, the walls of which are seen in the foreground. Further back behind the Suc de Chaumont : The Miaune mountain (1.066 m in the commune of Roche-en-Régnier), and further back still : The Roche du Diable with the quarries. The sucs de Périllade and d'Artias are aligned along the northern banks of the Loire streaming - though not visible on the photo - left from these two sucs . The rocky cliff of the suc de Périllade is facing south (left on the photo).
