| Description |
English: Leeds - King's Cross express leaving Retford. View SE, towards Grantham, Peterborough and London on the ex-GN ECML, also -curving sharply to the left - the ex-GC lines from Sheffield to Lincoln and Grimsby, which also crossed the ECML on the level here until 1965 when the flat-crossing was replaced by an underbridge and the Low Level platforms. The express is the 09.50 from Leeds Central (with portions from Halifax and Bradford) to King's Cross, headed by Gresley A4 4-6-2 No. 60033 'Seagull' (built 6/38 as No. 4902, withdrawn 12/62). |
