| Description |
English: Shiroka Polyana is one of the most beautiful lakes in Bulgaria. Located in the western Rhodope Mountains and is part of the Batak system of hydroelectric scheme, which is composed of Batak, Goliam Beglik, Malak Beglik, Toshkov Chark, Schiroka Poliana and Dospat. The dam is located about 30 km from Batak, on the road to Dospat. Its altitude is 1500 meters, located in pine forest. The shape of the dam is unique. Seen from the orbiting time it seems that it is composed of many small dams with separate walls. The illusion is caused by uneven terrain at the bottom, which consists of several mountain gullies.
Български: Широка поляна е един от най-красивите язовири на България. Намира се се в Западните Родопи и е част от системата на Баташкия водносилов път, който е изграден от язовирите Батак, Малък Беглик, Голям Беглик, Тошков чарк, Широка поляна и Доспат. Язовирът се намира на около 30 км от Батак, на пътя към Доспат. Надморската му височина е 1500 м, намира се във борова гора. Формата на язовира е уникална. Погледнат от обикалящия го път, изглежда, че е съставен от множество малки язовири с отделни стени. Илюзият се причинява от неравния терен на дъното, който се състои от няколко планински дерета. |
