Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The street up the Ankara Railway Station was named “Station” and the station below the Ulus Square was named “Kamutay” (General Assembly of Turkish Grand National Assembly) were combined under the name of "Republic Boulevard" in 1935.

The first years of Republic Boulevard… The Turkish Grand National Assembly which was constructed by Vedat Tek, a notable Turkish architect can be seen ahead. In the narrow-wood garden of the Assembly, the white tent where the Presidential Philharmonic Orchestra or military-civilian bands appear in concert on various occasions can be seen. Further ahead, there is the building of the Court of Accounts. The Building of Sümerbank in the Ulus Square can also be seen there. Ankara Palace is located right between the İstanbul Street and Republic Boulevard. The photo is completed with Hıdırlık Hill and Ankara Castle.

Daha ileride, Vedat Tek’in yapısı Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi görülüyor. Meclis binasının sık ağaçlı büyük bahçesinde, Yenişehir’den taşınıp yerleştirilmiş, Riyaseti Cumhur Filarmoni Orkestrası’nın ya da askerî, sivil bandoların belirli günlerde konser verdikleri beyaz çadır. Daha ileride Sayıştay’ın binası. Ulus Meydanı’ndaki Sümerbank binası da fark ediliyor. Cumhuriyet Bulvarı’nın sağ tarafında, ağaçların gerisindeki geniş alana gelince, henüz boş. Kültür Parkı’nın yeri, çalışmalar başlamış. İstanbul Caddesi ile Cumhuriyet Bulvarı’nın köşe kaptıkları noktada Ankara Palas. Fotoğraf, Hıdırlık Tepesi ve Ankara Kalesi’yle tamamlanıyor.
