one in 1 to 3 layers with greenishcolored shale between. Very finely crystalline tex-ture. Medium grained, crystalline, dark slate gray, limestone,edgewise conglomerate in 7 and 3 beds with shalebetween. Matrix weathers brown. Shale and dense, fine grained, slaty, dark gray limestone. Edgewise conglomerate. Lenses or plates of finely crys-talline, dark gray limestone in a coarser limestonematrix which weathers to a yellow while lenses re-main fresh. Hard, finely crystalline, dark gray, thin, irregularly beddedlimestone in soft shale. Conglomeratic limestone. Hard, dense, finely crystalline,gray limestone in a coarser matrix, which weathersto a yellow while fragments remain fresh. Coarsely crystalline, brownish gray, conglomeratic lime-stone. Shelly limestone or dolomite and shale. Not well exposed.Light olive green shale. Fine platy structure.Hard, pinkish brown, medium grained, crystalline dolomitein three beds. Light greenish colored, arenaceous shale. Platy structurewell developed.
