Description
English: Replica of an Avia B-534 biplane fighter from the interwar Czechoslovak Republic (1920s, 1930s), manufactured by the aviation company Avia between 1933 and 1939, in several versions. This specimen depicts an B-534 from the second half of the 1930s, in the colours of the Czechoslovak Air Force.

The Avia B-534 served in the interwar Czechoslovak Air Force as its most numerous fighter plane, before and during the outbreak of WWII and the occupation of Czechoslovakia by the Axis powers. Avia B-534s seized in occupied Czechoslovakia or sold abroad served in several European air forces.

The fighter saw its last combat operations in the autumn of 1944, during the Slovak National Uprising against the Axis forces, as part of the inventory of the small Slovak Insurgent Air Force. During these operations, it managed several shoot-downs, including one of the last known enemy aircraft kills achieved by a biplane fighter in history.
Slovenčina: Replika dvojplošníkovej stíhačky Avia B-534 z medzivojnovej Československej republiky (20. a 30. roky 20. storočia), výrabanej leteckou spoločnosťou Avia v rokoch 1933-1939, vo viacerých verziách. Tento exemplár znázorňuje B-534 z druhej polovice 30. rokov, vo farbách Československého letectva.

Avia B-534 slúžila v medzivojnovom Československom letectve ako jeho najpočetnejšie stíhacie lietadlo, pred aj počas vypuknutia druhej svetovej vojny a okupácie Československa mocnosťami Osi. Avie B-534 ukoristené v okupovanom Československu alebo predané do zahraničia slúžili vo viacerých európskych vzdušných silách.

Stíhačka zažila svoje posledné bojové operácie na jeseň 1944 počas Slovenského národného povstania, proti vojskám Osi, ako súčasť malého Slovenského povstaleckého letectva. Počas týchto operácií sa stíhačke podarilo viacero zostrelov, vrátane jedného z posledných známych zostrelov nepriateľského lietadla v dejinách, ktorý bol dosiahnutý dvojplošníkovou stíhačkou .
