Figure 1: Repetition Suppression (RS) Models

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: (a) Control model, when a stimulus is presented and is assumed to cause activity, neuron firing, in the input layer that corresponds to early visual cortex indicated by the spikes as a function of time. (b) Three models predict reduced BOLD signals over time due to stimuli repetition causing a decrease in firing rate for different reasons. The fatigue model (left) displays a low firing rate, the Sharpening model (middle) indicates fewer neurons firing, and the Facilitation model (right) shows a shorter duration for neural processing.
