Description
English: Coastal motor vessel RENOVATIE (IMO 5293163) built at Elsflether Werft, Elsfleth/Germany, as WILHELM JORDAN (yard № 214, launched: 25-09-1937, delivered: 30-10-1937), used by Kriegsmarine (German Navy) as supply vessel 1939-1945, registered in the Netherlands 06-1946, renamed RENOVATIE in 1948, lengthened in 1952 (292 GRT, 420 dwt), sold to P. Beister, Rendsburg/Germany, and renamed MARRET B. in 1964, sank after collision with Swedish tanker RUNÖ off the Kiel Canal locks at Kiel-Holtenau 02-05-1975, BU Viereck GmbH, Kiel, 1975; photo before lengthening, collection J. Robert Boman (1926 - 2002) owned by Sjöhistoriska museet.
