Text Appearing After Image:
LENTIFUL is still the very best all-round Tomato for general cultivation. Many " mammoth'1 sorts have been introduced of late, but on first trial they are rejected on account of their rough and uneven surface, if for nothing else. When, therefore, we state that in addition to its very large size, it is also smooth and uniform, we are sure we have said enough to enlist the attention of Tomato growers everywhere. This is not all, how- ever, for although its large size might lead some to believe the fruits are few in number, yet the fact is it is an enormous yielder ; by actual count 157 marketable Tomatoes were picked from a single plant. The Tomatoes are borne in immense clus- ters of six to eight extra large fruits, and occasionally ten large fruits have been found in single clusters. In solidity and meatiness it has no equal, and in desirable quality none surpass it. The color is that pinkish shade so much admired. It is not extra early, but simply the best main crop Tomato ever put on the market, and whether grown in a private or market garden is bound to receWe unstinted praise from everyone. ; lb. $1.00, oz. 50c, ; oz. 30c, pkt . 10c 30e»t>l . Bl aHNEW EARLIANA.—The earliest Tomato in cultivation, fully two weeks ahead of Early Atlantic or Ruby. From less than 4,000 hills the originator realized from his first pickings $725.00 clear of freight and commission. It is of hand- some shape and bright red color, and for solidity and fine quality is quite equal to best medium and late sorts. Avoid disappoint- ment and buy the originator's stock direct from us. ; lb. $1.50, oz. 60c; J oz. 35c, pkt 10c ^CANADA.—One of the heaviest croppers known. As many as ten large fruits have been found in a single cluster. In solidity and meatiness is one of the best. The color is a glossy crimson with a purple tinge, and is very showy and striking when displayed for sale. J lb. $1.00, oz. 50c, J oz. Pkt 10c &UCKEYE-STATE.—Very productive, large, solid, smooth purple tomatoes, i lb. 60c, oz. 20c, pkt 5c fcflDYVARF CHAMPION—Very early. Stem stiff and short jointed, is actually self-supporting when laden with fruit. A -favorite with market gardeners. J lb. 70c, oz. 25c. pkt 5c k/GOLDEN QUEEN (Sunrise).—Bright yellow, rich flavor. When sliced and served, mixed with red varieties, they are :att$aetive. \ lb. 70c, oz. 25c, pkt 5c yf IGNOTUM.—Large, smooth and regular, solid, productive and uniform, handsome deep red color, remarkably free from tracking or rotting. I lb. 50c, oz. 20c, pkt 5c i/SMALL FRUITED TOMATOES. —i mf CHERRY RED.—Round red tomato, cherry shaped. Oz. 50c, pkt 5c Jfe/PEACH TOMATOES.—Very appropriately named, as the rfruit resembles the peach in shape and suffused coloring. The 'very solid, rich, meaty flesh is unequalled in delicacy of flavor. Yellow Peach, Red Peach, Mixed Peach—Either variety. Oz, 50c. pkt 5c f_ RED PEAR SHAPED.—The leading favorite for preserves; fruit bright red, of true pear shape, rich distinct flavor. Oz. 50c, pkt 5c t STRAWBERRY OR G ROUND CHERRY (known as Barbadoes Gooseberry.")—Distinct species, for preserving. Ozr50c, pkt 5c Y YELLOW PLUM.—Pear shaped. Gardeners should have 'it! Skin and flesh deep yellow. Fine for preserving and pickling. 50c, pkt 5c SMALL FRUITED TOMATO MIXTURE. - Including 3#um, cherry and pear shaped fruits; reds and yellows. Pkt. 5c o, ICCESS.—See Novelties, page 2. Oz. 75c, pkt 15c iXTRA EARLY ATLANTIC (EARLY RUBY) or Earliest or AH.—Second only to "Earliana" in earliness; coming in from 8 to 15 days before other early sorts. The fruit is borne in immense clusters, each vine producing from 40 to 60 large, per- fect fruits, very solid and of the finest quality, being unusually freejjrom core and seed. I lb. 50c, oz. 20c, pkt 5c ^IMPERIAL.—Fruit entirely different and far superior in quality^ to others; perfectly smooth, ripening evenly up to the stem; color between Dwarf Champion and Beauty, and excep- tion allw«olid.
