[edit]DescriptionRemodeling of Granary Building on Bellingham's Central Waterfront (28054204805).jpg |
July 2016. On Bellingham's central waterfront, where Georgia Pacific was, they are finally starting to get one of the buildings ready for public use. The old Granary Building has been preserved and is now being restored for leasing out to various uses. Built for the poultry industry, storing feed and stuff I guess. I think it was used as a warehouse also and then sat empty for years. There was thought of tearing it down, but citizens wanted it saved. Now it's the first big restoration project on Bellingham's Central waterfront around the old Georgia Pacific pulp mill grounds. Just walking by on Chestnut Street created some photos ops. More on my blog. |
