Summary
[edit]DescriptionRemains of lime-kiln - geograph.org.uk - 1622175.jpg |
English: Remains of lime-kiln. This is the sixth of ten former lime-kiln sites that are located along a short section of the Murroch Burn. For an index to pictures of all ten sites, see 1622071
Of the ten sites, only this one lies on SE side of the Murroch Burn. The fifth site – https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1622152 – is only 37 metres from this one, but is on the other side of the burn; it would be visible in the background were it not for the intervening trees. The Murroch Burn flows from right to left across the centre of the image; some small waterfalls along the course of the burn can be seen as a splash of white near the left-hand edge of the photo; the same area can be seen, although from the other side of the burn, in the photo of the fifth site (link given above). |
