| Description |
English: Remains of lime-kiln. This is the fourth of ten former lime-kiln sites that are located along a short section of the Murroch Burn. For an index to pictures of all ten sites, see 1622071
Like all the other sites, the remains here consist of a circular pit, with an internal diameter of approximately three metres, located alongside the Murroch Burn; the site is sheltered by the deep, steep-sided valley of the burn. Sites 1 to 7 are all located in woodland, and the approaches by means of the steep slippery sides of the valley can be treacherous. |
