Summary
[edit]DescriptionRemains of a house - geograph.org.uk - 1315348.jpg |
English: Remains of a house. There are two ruined buildings in this area, located less than fifty metres apart. This, the more easterly of the pair, is by far the better preserved. It is described in detail at WoSAS: http://www.wosas.net/wosas_site.php?id=14193
The main compartment is situated centrally in this view; a smaller eastern addition can be seen at the upper left. The long walls of the building are oriented W-E; the shorter western wall is the one visible near the bottom right-hand corner of this image. The two long walls can be seen to project slightly beyond that western wall; this corresponds to the small outshot that is mentioned by WoSAS. For another view (taken by another contributor a few days earlier), see: https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1311319 The south-western tip of Burncrooks Reservoir is visible in the background. As mentioned at the start of this item, there is another ruin nearby; see 1315344. |
