English: Remains of Friargate Station, Derby Built as part of the Great Northern Railway's Derbyshire and Staffordshire extension, opened in 1878, and closed in 1964. Judging from satellite image, the station area had been cleared of much overgrowth not too long before this view was taken. The remains of the main island platform are clear in the centre of the picture. |
