Description
Jedna strana obsahuje reliéf dívky v dlouhém šatu (Rusalka); druhá strana zobrazuje reliéf tančící dívky a konečně třetí strana je vyplněna abstraktním motivem.
English: The Rusalka fountain (with a relief element) in Smetana Gardens (near the Grand Theatre) below the Josef Kajetan Tyl Theatre in Pilsen (Plzeň 3, Jižní Předměstí) dates from 1987. It is a joint work of three authors. The main one is the sculptor and medallist Alois Sopr (1913-1993), another is Jaroslav Šindelář (* 1950) and the trio is completed by the architect Pavel Němeček (* 1945). The whole fountain is made of stone (sandstone) and has the following approximate dimensions: diameter 220 cm and height 300 cm (including the plinth). An integral part of the fountain is a three-sided decorated relief element in the middle of the pool. One side contains a relief of a girl in a long dress (Rusalka); the second side depicts a relief of a dancing girl and finally the third side is filled with an abstract motif.
