Description
Deutsch: Aufgelassener Steinbruch in Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna, Landkreis Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge, Sachsen, Deutschland. Der Steinbruch entstand Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts als letztes großes Bruchrevier in der Sächsischen Schweiz. 1959 wurde der Abbaubetrieb eingestellt. Der abgebaute Sandstein fand unter anderem Verwendung für das Rathaus, die Kunstakademie und das Finanzministerium in Dresden. Die Brüche sind unter dem Namen "Teichsteinbrüche" bekannt. Der Name stammt von der Bezeichnung "Auf den Teichen". So wird der Elbabschnitt unterhalb der Brüche aufgrund seines sehr langsam fließenden Wassers genannt.
