English: Portrait of Queen Cahoumanou of the Hawaiian Islands, wearing a cloth wrap dress, a hair ornament, a necklace, and holding a fly whisk. The Queen sits on a mat, inside a semi enclosed area made from cloth. Behind the Queen sits a man, also wearing a cloth wrap and holding a fly whisk. Through an opening in the cloth enclosure, is a view of a sailing ship at sea. 1822.
