Description

Die Burg wurde wahrscheinlich um das Jahr 1000 von Pfalzgraf Ezzo gebaut. Erwähnt wurde sicher am 17. März 1130 in einer Urkunde. Am 19. Mai 1689 wurde die Burg auf Befehl eines französischen Leutnants im Pfälzer Erbfolgekrieg gesprengt. Ab 1868 unter dem Kommerzienrat Louis Fréderic Jacques Ravené aus Berlin wieder aufgebaut. Das Äußere der Burg weicht in vielen Details von der Vorgängerburg ab und entsprach dem damaligen Zeitgeist.

The castle was probably built around 1000 by Count Palatine Ezzo. Mention was safe on 17 March 1130 in a document. On 19 May 1689, the castle was demolished on the orders of a French lieutenant in the Palatinate War of Succession. Established since 1868 under the Commerce Louis Frederic Jacques Ravené from Berlin again. The exterior of the castle is different in many details of the previous castle and reflected the spirit of the times.
