Description

June 22, 2009; President Obama signs the "Family Smoking Prevention and Control Act" launching FDA's landmark responsibility over tobacco products. Under Commissioner Margaret A Hamburg, this law gave the agency broad authority to regulate the manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of tobacco products.
