English: Amphibians are indicators of environmental quality and urban reserves are reservoirs of many wild species. The Research Project on the amphibian populations present in the Urban Natural Reserve "El Renacer de la Laguna-FVET-UBA" surveys and monitors the amphibian species that still persist in highly populated cities such as the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Many photographic and audio records emerge from this project that are used so that citizens can learn about their local species. The use of gloves is essential in the management of wildlife to avoid the transmission of diseases to other populations of native animals. |
