a Club have pleasure insubmitting this souvnir of Regina, believing thearguments advanced will in some measure show thatthe interests of the industrial and financial worldwill best be served by locating their business andfinancial investments at the Capital of the Province. 1. The financial investment, business industryor branch house should be located at the heart of theProvincial life and commercial activity of the people. 2. Where the highest organization for the trans-portation and handling of freight prevail. Withoutthis, whether we have the raw materials or not, thesupply will be confined to the local markets. 3. Light, power and pure water for domestic andmanufacturing purposes. 4. Easy access to markets and a supply of labor. 5. The industry should be located in the! largestcentre of population now possessing and likely tocontinue to possess the greatest commercial develop-ment. 6. The industries should be located where thecommunity have at their disposal the best facilities 7

for education, Christian knowledge and opportuni-ties for social advancement, with the facilities forthe upbuilding of sturdy moral and physical strengthand the cultivation of a healthy rivalry in the Heldof legitimate sport. REGINA is fortunate in having her fair shareof the foregoing requisites for the steady develop-ment of her commercial progress. Many manufactur-ing centres have become rich and prosperous withonly a few of these advantages,—and without excep-tion the possession of some of them will counter-balance the absence of others. From these broad premises it will be readilyadmitted that the welfare of the industries and theinterests of the investors will be best served bylocating in Retina.
