Summary
[edit]DescriptionRegent Avenue, Bond Hill Historic District, Cincinnati, OH (27226429507).jpg | Many houses and duplexes from the early 20th Century can be found in Bond Hill, some of which are located in the Old Bond Hill Historic District, largely date to the period between 1910 and 1940, with many homes being built in the bungalow and cottage styles popular during the time period. Homes like these are common throughout Cincinnati's outer neighborhoods, including as early urban infill in neighborhoods close to the city center like Clifton Heights, East Price Hill, and Walnut Hills. Though some have had inappropriate modifications, such as window replacements with new windows in a different style, inappropriate cladding systems such as vinyl siding and aluminum siding, and improper painting of the exterior. However, the homes remain overall in better condition than many older homes in the neighborhood, and are worthy of attention and preservation. |
