English: Reeds above Bosley Lock No 12, Macclesfield Canal At the bend above lock 12 the pound is wide to allow boats the opportunity to pass
each other between the locks, which are at a difficult angle for navigators. It is said locally that even on a calm day the wind blows across this pound, and many a boater has taken a good close look at the reed beds. |
