Summary

English: Reed bed at East Chevington Nature Reserve The site contains large lakes reclaimed from open cast mining with reedbeds, grassland and woodland areas. It is now one of the best birdwatching sites in the county with greylag and pink-footed geese often seen on the ponds,
and skylark, stonechat and grasshopper warbler seen around the grassland areas. There are four hides for watching wildlife and a network of paths for visitors http://www.coal.gov.uk/media/44432/newsletters_env5_Page4.pdf |
