The Reed leopard (Phragmataecia castaneae), also known as giant borer, is a moth of the family Cossidae. It is found in central and southern Europe, the Middle East, the Caucasus, Transcaucasia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, north-western Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, India, Lebanon, Turkey, western China, south-western Siberia, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco. The wingspan is 27–50 mm. The larvae feed on Phragmites australis, Phragmites communis, Phragmites gigantea and Phragmites pumila. Сверлило камышевое - бабочка семейства Cossidae. Встречается в Центральной и Южной Европе, на Ближнем Востоке, на Кавказе, в Закавказье, в Туркменистане, в Казахстане, на северо-западе Ирана, в Ираке, Сирии, Шри-Ланке, Мадагаскаре, Индии, Ливане, Турции, западном Китае, Египте, Тунисе и Марокко. Размах крыльев 27-50 мм. Гусеница питается стеблями тростника (Phragmites australis, Phragmites communis, Phragmites gigantea, Phragmites pumila). |
