English: Red Head, Eday and Grey Head, Calf of Eday. Red Head in the foreground, Grey in the back. The small white line on Grey Head is a passage right through the rock - though a bit too narrow to travel through. Both headlands had quarries which provided the stone for St Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall - red stone and a greyish yellowish stone. |
