Title
English: Red Clover/Cowgrass, Trifolium pratense
Description
English:

Small purple puffy flowers that look like something out of a Dr Seuss book stand in a field of green grass.

We see clover all the time. In our yards, along the roads, and in many parks, but did you know that clover is non native? No clover was in The United States region until the Europeans came over with their cattle. The seeds were on the cattle and when they fed on open pasture. The seeds would fall off and the cattle would step on the seeds, pushing them into the ground. Who knew that something as small as bringing a few cattle would forever change America's landscape?
