Summary
[edit]DescriptionRed Admiral Butterfly (Vanessa atalanta) - geograph.org.uk - 1568597.jpg |
English: Red Admiral Butterfly (Vanessa atalanta) Walking along the street today, I was amazed to see at least half a dozen Red Admirals on a mahonia bush in a neighbour's garden. Half an hour later I found another garden with literally dozens of them feeding on some variety of aster. I don't ever recall seeing so many at once, let alone in November. This one obligingly clung to the harled wall long enough to have its portrait taken. |
