Description
English: Statue at the Gabriel Dumont Park east side of South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon

This interpretative form symbolizes the achievement of the human spirit as a salute to Canadian volunteerism and an inspiration to all who give of themselves in the service of humanity.

Dedicated by his excellency the Right Honourable Ramon J. Hnatyshyn Governor General of Canada September 13, 1992. Spirit of Service Symbol Original Concept and Design by Ed Sebestyen formed and executed by Doug Bentham. Spirit of Service Committee Members Morris Blondeau, Tony agnone, Margaret Harris, Fred Heal, Tom Molloy, Kathryn Olysvik, Eloise Opheim, Bill Peterson, Dr. Kris Rao, Jim Rusnak, Ed Sebestyen, Irene Seiferling, John Somers, Peter Zakreski.
