Summary

[edit]
Description A larger than life statue of the Reclining Buddha at the Ling Sen Tong cave temple in Ipoh, Malaysia. This statue is actually located on the roof of the lower cave of the temple. The Ling Sen Tong (Rock of Heavenly Spirits) cave temple is mostly remembered for its bright colors - red pillars, yellow-tiled Chinese roofs, and blue walls — and the cartoon-like life-sized statues that stand before its entrance. They are possibly the reason why this temple got the name I mentioned earlier - Ling Sen Tong, which means Rock of Heavenly Spirits. The colourful statues are actually statues of various characters from Chinese folklore and mythology, including the Monkey King, Guan Yin, and the 12 Chinese Zodiacs.
